MLS Bio Holds Inaugural Oncology Scientific Advisory Board Meeting at ASCO 2026

MLS Bio is pleased to announce that it held the inaugural meeting of its Oncology Scientific Advisory Board during ASCO 2026 in Chicago, marking an important milestone in the company’s progression toward clinical development.
The meeting brought together leading prostate cancer clinicians, translational researchers and clinical trial experts to review MLS Bio’s lead oncology program, MLS-269, and provide guidance on the next stage of development.
MLS-269 is MLS Bio’s first-in-class small molecule oncology asset targeting CD151-associated biology, with an initial focus on prostate cancer. The program is being advanced toward IND-enabling toxicology, regulatory preparation and Phase 1b/2 clinical trial planning.
The inaugural Scientific Advisory Board meeting focused on the clinical and translational pathway required to move MLS-269 toward the clinic. Key areas of discussion included the target product profile, patient population strategy, biomarker development, preclinical evidence requirements, trial design considerations, clinical positioning and the broader opportunity for MLS-269 in prostate cancer and potentially other solid tumour settings.
“Great science only changes lives when it reaches patients,” said Penelope Lane, Managing Director & CEO of MLS Bio. “Holding our inaugural Oncology Scientific Advisory Board meeting at ASCO 2026 was a powerful moment for MLS Bio. It allowed us to bring our science into direct dialogue with leading clinical experts and to ensure that the next stage of development is rigorous, clinically relevant and aligned with patient need.”
The meeting was supported by MLS Bio’s partnership with the Prostate Cancer Clinical Trials Consortium and chaired by Professor Charles “Chuck” Ryan, Chair of MLS Bio’s Oncology Scientific Advisory Board and Medical Director of PCCTC.
Professor Albert Frauman, Founder and Executive Director of MLS Bio, said the inaugural meeting reflected the company’s commitment to disciplined translational development.
“This is an important step in moving MLS Bio’s work from promising scientific discovery toward a credible clinical development pathway,” Professor Frauman said. “The depth of discussion, challenge and insight from the Scientific Advisory Board will help shape the studies and decisions required to advance MLS-269 with scientific rigour and clinical purpose.”
The inaugural Scientific Advisory Board meeting represents a significant value-building milestone for MLS Bio as the company advances MLS-269 toward toxicology, regulatory engagement and future clinical development.
MLS Bio will continue to work with its Scientific Advisory Board, PCCTC and its broader clinical and strategic advisors as it progresses its oncology portfolio and engages with investors and partners across the United States and internationally.
